Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby used to be in a band together

Doh! over and over and over again

On Sunday, November 24 Lee Harvey Oswald was being led through the basement of Dallas Police Headquarters transferring to the county jail when, at 11:21 a.m., he was famously shot in the belly by Dallas nightclub operator Jack Ruby. The incident was captured for all time, just as it happened, on a black and white photograph in the classic, strained, "Oh, that hurts!" pose.

I often like to memorialize that fateful end to an assassins life by re-creating the "Lee Harvey Shot" any chance I can. And now it is your turn to capture similar shots of your friends and family -or if you are brave, strangers- and post them here.

Simple instructions:

Sneak up to your subject/victim with camera in hand (a quick shutter with flash helps), grab a handful of subjects belly vigorously as you simultaneously snap the photo of their surprised expression and overall reaction. Bingo! Lee Harvey Shot taken.
